Vancouver Water Damage from a Busted Pipe
Pipes not frozen from a cold winter storm can still fracture and flood the kitchen and dining area of a home in Vancouver, resulting in a significant water loss. The soaked tongue and groove floorboards were damaged beyond repair. SERVPRO technicians always try to salvage water-damaged building materials and contents whenever possible. We removed on what was necessary with neat cuts to simplify the future installation of new planks. The subfloor was salvaged along with the floor joists and beams; this saved our customer a ton of money and a long and messy repair. Our air movers are lifting the remaining moisture from the surfaces where an off-camera dehumidifier is capturing and condensing the water vapor. We monitor the drying to ensure that moisture content of less than 11 percent has been reached before a new floor is installed. Count on SERVPRO of W. Vancouver / Clark Co. to restore order, "Like it never even happened."
