Our SERVPRO team arrived shortly after the call and mitigated the storm damage. We dried up the tiled flooring and performed a "flood cut" to remove only the saturated lower section of the drywall panels. A cowl was rigged with flat lay plastic to isolate the damp area for the final drying.

When a major storm hits, it may overwhelm local restoration companies. SERVPRO of E. Vancouver / Clark Co. can scale our resources by accessing the equipment and personnel of 1,700 Franchises. We can also access Disaster Recovery Teams that specialize in major storms and catastrophic events.

"Mold Removal" vs. Mold Remediation

What’s the Difference?

Since microscopic mold spores exist naturally almost everywhere, indoors and outdoors, removing all mold from a home or business is impossible. Many restoration businesses advertise “mold removal” and even guarantee to remove all mold. This is a fallacy. We understand mold and mold growth. SERVPRO of E. Vancouver / Clark Co. has the training and expertise to remediate the mold in your home or business.

Smoke Alarms

  • Three out of five home fire deaths in 2010-2014 were caused by fires in homes with no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms.
  • Working smoke alarms cut the risk of dying in reported home fires in half.
  • In fires considered large enough to activate the smoke alarm, hardwired alarms operated 94% of the time, while battery powered alarms operated 80% of the time.
  • When smoke alarms fail to operate, it is usually because batteries are missing, disconnected, or dead.
  • An ionization smoke alarm is generally more responsive to flaming fires and a photoelectric smoke alarm is generally more responsive to smoldering fires. For the best protection, or where extra time is needed to awaken or assist others, both types of alarms, or combination ionization and photoelectric alarms are recommended.

Home Water Leak

This home had a pipe leaking in the ceiling that was draining down into the home and under the floors. Our crew had to competently demo the crawl space, attic, and kitchen while also setting up drying equipment throughout the home.

Water Heater Damage

This was another condominium complex we were called to for emergency service. A plumbing connection on the water heater gave way causing damage to 3 units. We removed all the floors and about 1 foot of the walls on the top unit while removing all the walls, ceiling, and floors in the bottom unit. Another unit to the side had minimal damage to a small space of on of the rooms.

Condominium Complex Water Damage

This project started when a maintenance worker was servicing the sprinkler system in this condominium complex. His shoe lace some how gripped onto the backside of a sprinkler head in the ceiling which set up all the sprinklers in this complex affecting 4 units. SERVPRO was called in to provide emergency services to all 4 units.

SERVPRO To The Rescue!

We were called into a job that another restoration company had started but didn't finish the completion process. The area was originally affected from a bathroom leak. We had to do a small amount of demo work and mold remediation that the previous company had missed. We then finished the drying process to insure the job was indeed completed the right way this time.

Men's Shelter

A local shelter had experienced water damage and figured it wouldn't progress. we were then called in to check it out. We arrived and concluded the area was still wet, so we removed all of the wet contents while also cleaning and disinfecting the area. Once we cleaned all of the mold up we applied a seal with a coat of primer to the surrounding walls that will prevent any further production of mold preexisting mold.

Water Damage Demo

A pipe in the crawl space of this home was the cause of loss. This was an ongoing leak that had been going on for awhile unnoticed. we removed all the materials obstructing the crawl space and then removed all wet materials including the main floor. We treated the area for mold and then attempted to dry the structure but came to the conclusion that it would be more cost effective for this client to rebuild certain parts of this structure.

Pipe Break In Shop

We service all of Vancouver and Clark County and in this case we even made a trip all the way out to White Salmon where a pipe had ruptured in a shop and sprayed all the drywall in the corner flooding the whole space in a few inches of water. This caused a massive amount of mold growth, our crew went in and started setting up a containment where we would then put items as we disinfected them and cleaned them of any mold. We removed all the drywall affected in the area and any items affected by the mold. Fans and dehumidifiers were then set up around the shop to dry out the remaining structures.

Commercial Glass Clean Up

This local restaurant had a car drive through their front glass entrance. Our crew arrived and quickly started the clean up process. We inventoried all the items in the affected area and removed all the glass through the restaurant. We Then boarded up the now vacant space where the glass was and prepared the area for a contractor to come in and start the rebuild process.

Gutter Damage From Winter Storm

During our cold winter this home's gutter froze and when the water thawed it kept the water from draining properly which caused the water to drain into the home. Our team responded quick enough to reduce significant damage. We removed a light fixture in the affected area to gain access into the attic. From there we set up fans and circulated the air around the home and into the attic. We were able to save the drywall and even the hardwood floors of the home in this case.

Frozen Pipe Damage

During the snow storm this year a pipe behind the sink of this home on the exterior wall ruptured due to the freezing weather. The home was vacant at the time and the owners were out of the country; leaving their kids in charge of checking in on the home. Because of the amount of time the water had been sitting this job turned into a complete demo. We removed all the wet materials and then dried the remaining sub floor and structure.

Roof Damage

A branch from a nearby tree punctured a whole in the roof of this home causing the rain fall to drain into the attic, through the ceiling and down into the garage. Our team set up a containment around the affected area and then cut out the affected part of the ceiling. We then removed any wet materials from the attic space and set up fans to circulate the air and dry the space.

Storm Damage

During a recent wind storm in the area this home's roof suffered an impact from an 8 ft tree branch which puncture the roof. This caused all the rainfall to drain into the attic above the garage and down the walls of the garage. We got there quick enough to save the structure. We removed one interior wall to dry the exterior wall of the home, and then removed a chunk of the ceiling to air out the garage and the attic area.

Smoke Damage

The owners of this home had burned a lot of wood through their fireplace over the years which eventually caused a crack in the structure of the chimney. They never noticed the crack and continued to burn wood in the fireplace. A combination of a faulty chute and the draft of air the crack had caused triggered all the smoke to vent through the entire house instead of out the chimney. Normally we would bring in specialized cleaning products to clean all items and structure damaged by the smoke but one of the children living in the home had a very weak immune system and couldn't be around those products. Our crew was forced to take a different approach and cleaned all the contents and house with bleach water instead.

Garage Fire

A fire was started in the garage of this house due to faulty electrical wiring. The whole garage structure was burnt and had spread through the crawl space. Because of the age of the house our crew had to take extra precautions for asbestos. The owners had a lot of belongings and our crew had to due a complete pack out and inventory of all of it. We cleaned the house and then gutted the whole interior all the way down to the sub floor and the framing of the home. When the rebuild was complete was returned all of their belongings which had been cleaned, sanitized, and deodorized prior.

Shoe Store Water Damage

This shoe store is located on the bottom floor just under the food court of a local shopping mall. When one of the companies in the food court had a pipe leak it drained down and affected this store. SERVPRO was there immediately to extract water and dry contents so we could get this business back up and running.

Corrections Office

Plumbing under a sink at this correctional facility started to leak, causing multiple rooms to flood. Buildings like this can’t afford downtime caused by these disasters so they contacted SERVPRO of Vancouver& Clark Co. to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

Church Bathroom Leak

A bathroom leak over the basement which was purposed as a youth center. This job required a lot of demo work and a lot of extensive drying. SERVPRO got the job done right and helped get this church back up on their feet!

Newly Remodeled Church

Just prior to this job this church underwent over $2 million in renovations. Landscapers misjudged the landscape which caused water to flow from the parking lot down into the basement of the church. SERVPRO was able to restore and save much of the building.

Bank Water Job

A water line to a water purifier had leaked. SERVPRO responded to dry out all of the office spaces at this Bank and a nearby restaurant who was also affected. SERVPRO was able to keep demolition to a minimal helping these businesses get up and running as soon as possible.
