Content clean up after a fire
Having fire damage and then conducting cleanup is no picnic. This home had smoke and soot damage from a having burned something on the stove. The smoke odor permeates the walls and is even worse the hotter the fire had gotten. The material that is burned also has to be taken into consideration. Plastics, for example, leave a thicker and more acidic soot behind. Organic materials, such as the cabinets, burn cleaner and finer but the soot travels broader within a house.
SERVPRO of W. Vancouver / Clark Co. evaluated the fire that took place and then began the cleaning process accordingly. We boxed up the contents and cleaned them at our cleaning facility.
